METLEN announces the signing of a long-term commercial agreement with a leading Japanese chemical company for the future supply of gallium, in a quantity corresponding to up to 16% of its total annual production, sourced from its production unit in Greece, which is currently at an advanced stage of construction. The commercial terms of the agreement remain confidential. This new partnership is the second strategic commercial agreement for METLEN's future gallium production and further confirms strong international demand for a reliable European supply source.
As global industries seek to diversify their critical raw materials supply chains, METLEN is further consolidating its position as a trusted, long-term partner for leading industrial and technology companies across various geographic markets. The growing commercial interest reflects both the strategic importance of gallium and confidence in METLEN's integrated production model, which combines in-house technology, secured raw materials from Aluminium of Greece, and industrial-scale production capabilities unique in Europe. With each new commercial partnership, Greece strengthens its position as an emerging hub for critical raw materials, while Europe substantially bolsters its presence in one of the most strategically vital value chains.
Evangelos Mytilineos, Executive Chairman of METLEN, stated regarding the agreement:
"The international response to our gallium production project continues to exceed our expectations. The successive commercial agreements we are announcing demonstrate that global industry is seeking reliable, high-quality, and diversified supply sources. Through this investment, Greece enters a new global technological ecosystem, while Europe gradually consolidates its role in a strategically crucial market that will serve as the foundation for the next generation of industrial and technological innovation." Beyond gallium itself, these agreements validate METLEN's strategic direction in the M Critical & Rare Metals – CRM sector of M Metals. They also highlight that foresight, innovation, and industrial expertise can build internationally competitive supply chains for materials essential to the technologies of the future.
